There once was a young boy named Jimi. Jimi dreamed of someday becoming the pilot of a rocket ship so he could travel to distant planets. On these planets, Jimi was sure he would find strange creatures with green, scaly skin that lived in deep craters and ate nothing but slime. So, Jimi decided to build his very own rocket out of cardboard boxes, wire, and plastic wrap. Once the rocket was complete, Jimi positioned it on the living room table and climbed in. He ignited the starter, and the rocket took off with a jolt, rocking and shaking furiously. Jimi watched as he flew higher into the sky until he grew lightheaded from the drop in pressure and fainted. When he wakened, Jimi was lying on what appeared to be the biggest and softest pillow he had ever seen. Instead of deep craters and strange green creatures, Jimi saw a never-ending field of colorful pillows with the most wonderful designs.
Which planet could this be? Everything flickered and shined as Jimi bounced from pillow to pillow, tossing some of them cheerfully into the air. Then, Jimi’s mother appeared suddenly. He looked at her with astonishment. What was his mother doing on the pillow planet? She ran her fingers gently through his hair and inspected the small cut he had gotten from bumping his forehead on the living room table. Ever so tenderly, she covered it with a bandage and blew on it to chase away the pain. Jimi pulled his favorite pillow closer—his lieblingskissen—and drifted off to sleep, ready to fly even further in dreams to come…
